GFI Ball Valves
GFI Ball Valves are engineered for reliable on-off isolation and tight shut-off across demanding industrial piping systems. Their quarter-turn operation provides quick and dependable opening and closing with minimal operating effort.
Featuring a precision-machined spherical ball with a flow passage through its centre, GFI Ball Valves provide excellent flow capacity and low pressure loss when fully open. Floating and trunnion-mounted configurations are available for different pressure, size and service requirements.
Key Features
Quarter-Turn Operation
Fast 90-degree operation enables quick and reliable isolation with low operating time.
Tight Shut-Off
Precision ball and seat geometry provides dependable sealing for critical isolation applications.
Full-Bore Flow Passage
Full-port designs provide a smooth, unrestricted flow path with minimal pressure drop.
Floating & Trunnion Designs
Different ball mounting arrangements accommodate a broad range of valve sizes and pressure ratings.
Fire-Safe Construction
Fire-safe configurations can be provided for critical oil, gas and petrochemical services.
Low Maintenance
Robust construction and simple quarter-turn operation help reduce maintenance requirements during service.
Available Types
Floating Ball Valve
The ball is supported by the valve seats and moves slightly under line pressure to maintain effective contact with the downstream seat. Suitable for a wide range of general and industrial isolation applications.
Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve
The ball is supported by upper and lower trunnions, reducing operating torque and making the design suitable for larger sizes and higher-pressure applications.
Full-Port Ball Valve
Provides a bore that closely matches the connected pipeline, allowing high flow capacity and low pressure loss.
Reduced-Port Ball Valve
Features a smaller flow passage than the pipeline size and provides a cost-effective solution for applications where full-bore flow is not essential.
Two-Piece Ball Valve
A compact construction suitable for a variety of industrial piping and isolation services, with convenient maintenance characteristics.
Three-Piece Ball Valve
Designed for applications requiring easier maintenance and component access while retaining dependable quarter-turn isolation.

Ball Valve Applications
GFI Ball Valves are widely used for isolation and flow shut-off in oil and gas pipelines, refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical processing facilities, power plants and industrial utility systems.
Their quarter-turn operation, low pressure drop and dependable sealing make them particularly suitable for applications requiring frequent, fast or emergency isolation. Full-port configurations can also be selected for services where unrestricted pipeline flow and reduced pressure loss are important.
For high-pressure and large-diameter services, trunnion-mounted designs can be selected to provide lower operating torque and dependable performance under demanding process conditions.
